Fifty Acts of Greatness (primaries)/ Leadership (secondaries) Lead a five-part curriculum to teach relationship skills, social awareness, self-management and reflection; guide participants through a subsequent completion of a log of 50 qualifying actions that exceed expectations
Behaviour monitoring and measurement Collate and report on any countable school-wide behaviour measure (both negative and positive), if not already being collated
Bullying prevention Engage and educate parents and students to raise awareness; target hot spots for bullying (e.g. corridor corners); enforce anti-bullying culture and intervene if bullying occurs, following up with coaching conversations, referrals, etc.Acknowledge and support specific anti-bullying events (i.e. National Anti-bullying Week).
Structured activities in break & lunch times including eating with students Lead games or other activities outdoors or indoors during break, modelling good behaviour and including shy students;
Facilitated peer mentoring Coordinate meetings between paired students and help them set goals for the relationship
Positive behaviour recognition including, positive communication home Run appreciation activities including student of the month, positive behaviour celebration boards, awarding positive behaviour slips (“caught you doing something good”), and competitions between classes. Send postcards to parents of students who have exhibited good and improved behaviours above expectations.
Support for school ethos and behaviour policies Actively reinforce the school’s unique culture and ethos through use of its symbols and vocabulary in everyday conduct and other initiatives
Change of lesson/ corridor transition and support Be present during transitions between lessons or locations to pre-empt time wasting or negative behaviour and maintain good school ethos and climate
