The aim of the programme is to address the issues that contribute towards healthy lifestyles, increase confidence, self-esteem and resilience, improve social skills and to provide practical skills the young person can take away with them.  We will work towards achievable outcomes to enhance the future prospects of the young person in terms of employment.
Students will attend the Positive Cycles workshop and shop at Positive Steps in Oldham and learn how to repair bikes and make them roadworthy.  While this is the vehicle for learning, we also deal with the following issues:
•           communication and interaction with the public
•           motivation
•           health and wellbeing
•           planning
•           health and safety
The programme is accredited in Bicycle Maintenance & Safety through the AQA.
The programme runs for six one-hour sessions.
